Question How to get all tricorder modes?

Is there a way to get all tricorder modes (inc Torpedo Strike) enabled on any level in SP?
Console command, memory hacking, editing .pak files, anything?

Hi, welcome to the forums.

I don't think Memory Hacking would even be legal.
EF2 has a extremly powerful scripting system(Morpheus), which can help you here. just try that, its easy to do and quite simple to use.

1. Create simple txt file, make sure you can rename its file-extension to cfg, or use notepad to create a new file with the extension: cfg. Best is to name it viewall.cfg

2. Put that viewall.cfg inside your games base folder(ef2/base/), there sould be more cfg files - they are all usless except the one that has you username on it.

3. Edit viewall.cfg and paste the following code into it
, then save the file:
Quote:
script $world addAvailableViewMode "tracegas";
script $world addAvailableViewMode "structuralintegrity";
script $world addAvailableViewMode "phaseshift";
script $world addAvailableViewMode "nightvision";
script $world addAvailableViewMode "torpedostrike";
script $world addAvailableViewMode "enemydetect";
script $world addAvailableViewMode "tripwire";
4. Start the game, load any level of your liking, open the console and type in:
exec viewall or exec viewall.cfg

5. After the game has found and executed the config file,
you should have all viewmodes avilable.

6. If you like you can bind the exec command to a key, by using the following console command:
bind v "exec viewall.cfg"
Every time from now on, when you hit the key V on your eyboard the game will execute that file, assuming the console or chat are not active to type a message.
  • Please note that torpedostrike might not work with all levels
  • Passing script commands like taht into the console does only work in Singleplayer or when cheats are activated.

Thanks a lot! It worked. I never heard about that scripting system.

You are welcome.
It is quite a remarkable powerful system.
  • The Singleplayer Campaign is done with it.
  • The Tricorder puzzles are done with it.
  • The Co-op Mod is done with it.

Have a look at its manual:
