Added opt-out stats collection for the regular campaign on the main menu
Added foreign translations for Arena Mode dialogs
Fixed issue where all secrets could not be collected in final map
Fixed issue where context look triggers could get "stuck" and the context look icon would appear for the remainder of the level
Fixed issue where Arena Mode rounds would end approximately 2 seconds too early
Fixed issue where players could be killed after the "Game Over" screen in Arena Mode
Fixed issue where stats exported to HTML from an Arena Mode game were incorrect
Fixed issue where players would get stats credited for the actions of NPC's
Fixed issue where subtitles would not appear during all of the "Next Episode" preview
Fixed issue where mutagenic gas would cause screen to black out on Radeon 9000, 9200 and 9250 series cards.
Fixed issue where player could not turn left or right using the keyboard without disabling the mouse.

The sound and video still stutter. Are you going to fix that soon?

There's little they can do about that, as far as I can tell it's a problem with how the Source engine is reacting to your system. For one reason or another, it's bottlenecking.

Will this fix the issue where the game crashes everytime I enter the car with Jessica in the opening sequence of Emergence?

I'm kind of disappointed... I've been wanting to play the game and nothing seems to help.

The same goes for me... I've bought the game, yet I can only "play" for appr. 2 minutes. Till I get in the car.

Can you both create new threads with your DXDIAG information, and try using Steam to verify your game files.

A) Half-life2 runs fine on my computer.
B) I've read around here that the problem is that they need to merge the game with the newest Source code.
C) They haven't done that yet.

My rig certainly isn't cutting edge but it should be able to play this game without these kinds of problems. For me, the game is unplayable in its current state.

I understand the complexity of testing a PC game out, with all the different configurations that developers have to account for, so my heart goes out to these guys and other developers. But consider that with the exception of your average bugs, every other title I purchase launches in a playable state. I can't play this game, and it's been out for what, 3 months?

Some people will say that "it's already been complained about in the forums" and that the problem is "known". I hope people continue to speak up until the problem is fixed.

Well, I can see what you mean, but this is newer and requires different resources than HL2. I was pretty sure they had done the code merge and released it, but honestly I don't even know.

You could argue that it's older, actually.

Sorry, that was low, but I really just want to play the game guys.

Sorry, it's all good.

The content is definately newer and different...in all likelihood this uses more resources than HL2 does, to start with. That might be part of the problem if they indeed haven't merged, but I thought they had.

I'm not with Ritual, I just like to try to help. It doesn't always work, but hey.

Angry Re: v1.4 Patch Notes

Hi
I am trying to find somewhere to down load the patches, but i have been unable to find any. My version of the game came on 2CDs and is not installed to steam. I bought this on Ebay and the seller appears to come from Malaysia, so I am wondering if this is the genuine article. please help as the game will not move forward from the U4 labs .

You have bought an illegal copy, please inform ebay, and to buy the real game with added extras.

Thanks
